Daniel Suarez has spoken about his impending departure from Trackhouse Racing, which was announced on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old has driven for the team since its inception in 2021, but will be released at the end of his current contract at the end of the season.

The Mexican driver has won two races for Trackhouse, including the one which locked him into last year's playoffs, but has yet to visit victory road since then while his team-mates are both locked into the 2025 postseason.

Suarez went on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio to talk about the team's decision to move on from him, and revealed that he's known about the choice for some time.

He said: "I want to make sure that you guys and all the people listening (know) I'm not sad for this. This is just a new chapter. That's all it is...This is not a sad moment, it's just a change."

Suarez continued: "This is not something new for me. I have known about this for awhile. It just happens to be official today. I'm actually a little bit relieved it's already out and people know about it and we can talk about it and we can move forward with future plans."

"Things change," he added. "People change. Companies change. And it's part of life. There are certainly no hard feelings about that."

The two-time Cup Series race winner also revealed that he and his team-mates went for lunch, adding that 'we vented out a little bit and cleared the air'.
